Do you want to challenge yourself and cycle across the Netherlands, while standing up for human rights and those that defend them?
Ride For Rights Netherlands is a cycle movement that brings people together for the protection of human rights, and those that defend them. By participating, you contribute to a fairer, more peaceful world, for everyone, everywhere.
Choose your distance that you want to cycle, from 100 km to up to 400 km! You can sign up as a team, ride together or split the distance and relay. It’s up to you! By participating, you will directly further the promotion of human rights worldwide by supporting those that are defending the rights and freedoms of others in their communities. Sign up before 11 May for Ride for Rights 2019!09-05-2019 | 10:33 The registration deadline for Ride for Rights 2019 is coming up. Cyclists wanting to join this year's edition should sign up by midnight Saturday 11 May: www.rideforrights.sheltercity.nl We will start the day early at 4:00 at Lola Bikes and Coffee in The Hague. The route then takes cyclists to Tilburg, Nijmegen, Deventer, Utrecht, Haarlem, to finish at the end of the day back in The Hague. Cyclists can cycle any distance from rest stop to rest stop along the 400 kilometre route, or take on the full-day 400 km challenge! See the time table below. For example - Do you want to do a 100 kilometer route? Join us in Utrecht to cycle to Haarlem and finish the day in The Hague! Timetable here. Fully cared for The route will be fully cared for throughout the day. Rest stops are hosted in Tilburg, Nijmegen, Deventer, Utrecht, and Haarlem equipped with food, refreshments, first aid, bike repair, blankets and places to rest, and live music to keep you going. All you have to do is cycle! An important cause By participating, you contribute to the protection and awareness of human rights and freedoms. The money you fundraise goes directly to the Shelter City initiative for the protection and support of human rights defenders - the brave men and women at the front line defending human rights such as access to education, to free press, freedom of expression, the right to health care or to a clean, sustainable environment. By sharing your story about why you ride, you help spread awareness to those around you of how important our human rights and freedoms are.
