Ride for Rights at 'Bike & City: Cycling with a mission'!
We'll be speaking at the next Bike & City at Pakhuis de Zwijger on 8 April!
"At first glance, the bicycle seems like a simple means to get us from A to B. In our daily lives, the bicycle accounts for almost a quarter of our journeys. We consider these bike rides as a matter of course. We don't see cycling as something special. For some people, the bicycle is more than just a means of transport: it boosts emancipation, distinction and freedom. During the evening, we will hear inspiring stories about other places, other times when cycling is not a matter of course. How does the bicycle cause change? From cycling club in Uganda to African-American cycling champion in the 19th century. An evening full of inspiring stories and revaluation for our bike."
